While reviewing all the photos of camels in the 'Camels!' thread, I rediscovered this one. Although not quite technically perfect, it's certainly interesting, evocative and colourful. I gave it 5 big stars.

I found this one in the rate 15 random photos and gave it a 3. I must say I like the perspective so close to the water and the idea of embracing being a lounge lizard.

As no-one has claimed to have rated any photos since October, I'm keeping the thread alive by reporting my latest rating.

I gave this 5 stars - the composition and exposure are almost perfect, but it's the subject that really caught my attention. For me, it sums up the hard life endured by India's ageing cycle-rickshaw wallahs.

Ha, only just bumped into this thread. All our photos are from basic (non-SLR) cameras. Think this one was from our Nikon CoolPix (which we did like) until it vanished on an Nepali bus. Thanks for the 5; more luck that judgement I assure you. Reply to this

Had meant to say that our guesthouse balcony here in Nagpur was a great ambush point for photos, being just above a busy crossroads. It was also amazing for snapping silhouettes of kite-fliers at dusk.

Looked through the complete thread; it was a treat, some great photos. I was also fortunate enough to have deleted****** bump into one of mine, so thanks to her for a 5 (I think that photo averages about a four, which is still generous).... Reply to this

There are some very good photos of Venice on this blog - but I gave this one 4 Stars because it made me smile!

Take away the title and caption and what do you have - an intriguing, wooden piece of modern-art, perhaps. I gave it 4 stars.

I love sunsets but they're often difficult to capture photographically. This one has done it well and it captures the atmosphere too. I gave it 5 big ones.
