Yakima Weekend - I spent several delightful days in the Yakima Valley in Washington State in early June

*SeaTac Airport in Seattle is the gateway to the Cascades. Even on a cloudy day snow covered mountains can be discerned in the distance. On the other side of the mountains is the Yakima Valley, home to the Yakima Nation.
My friend invited me to join her sister and her daughter who were visiting her brother, who is an archeologist with the Yakima Nation. It was a wonderful weekend. During our visit, we watched the Yakima Treaty Day Parade, ate fresh grilled salmon, were refreshed at Mt Rainier National Park, amazed at the murals in Toppenish, nostalgiac for Northern Exposure in Roslyn, and visited a number of other sites.

A website of my photos from the journey is called
Yakima Weekend - June 2006.

Enjoy

Say Len,

Where is horsetail falls located; in Yakima or along the way? I'd be interested in seeing those falls and photographing them under better lighting conditions.
