Joe1984 Joseph Faint Post Count: 3 Msg: #1 14 weeks ago, September 8th 2009 | Hi, | I am heading out from the UK for a wedding in Koh Samui at the beginning of October, I have decided to stay on for a extra 7 days in the country, I am planning to stay in Bagkok for the last 2 nights. I was hoping for some advice: whether its worth staying on the island untill then or moving on for a couple of days although I dont want to spend the whole time travelling between destinations Any advice/help would be great Rat on the Road Kris and Kate Post Count: 441 Msg: #2 13 weeks ago, September 9th 2009 | Hi | You could get a ferry from Ko Samui to one of the other islands nearby: Ko Tao or Ko Phan Ngan. Or you could fly to Bangkok and explore another area. It really depends on what you want to do. Do you want more beach time or to see some sights? You can take a boat to the mainland from Koh Samui, then a bus ride of a few hours would get you to Koh Sok. And as Richard suggests, staying on Koh Samui might also be an idea, since a week is a short time to spend and jetlag might make more moving around the country not such an attractive prospect. Joe Dicky Richard ford king Post Count: 29 Msg: #6 13 weeks ago, September 10th 2009 | Never been there but I will be next week.Should imagine the nightlife would be pretty well full on as it is just about everywhere in Thailand where there's plenty of tourists.Have a good time. | Number of Users: 4 | Number of Posts: 6 | ||||||||||||||
