I plan on taking the extended way home via Europe to make the most of my oversea\'s stay. I would very grateful if anyone has suggestions on what type of flights I should be booking; the around the world seems wasted as I will not be returning to London. Ideally something where I could depart from London and then head to pockets of europe (Paris, Austria) with a little land travel between countries. | Any suggestions with flights, costs, seasons for my 8 weeks of adventure would be great...I\'m fairly limited to April time but still hope to get some early rays of sunshine in Venice, Cyprus etc... Cheers! Then explore that area and get a budget flight to Oz. Jetstar, Tiger airways and Air Asia do cheap flights between SE Asia and Oz. In fact, Air Asia do a budget flight from London to KL. It costs about £150 one way. It will be a lot cheaper to travel in SE Asia. You will be guaranteed some sunshine too. In 8 weeks you could see Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam and then fly from Bangkok to Oz. Or you could see Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Bali perhaps, and then fly from Singapore to Oz. Just a suggestion....... Melony Mel Oldfield Post Count: 4 Msg: #3 19 weeks ago, August 25th 2009 | Thanks Kris, def open to any new suggestions! Although I do have my heart set on exploring Europe at this point, my working holiday visa will be running out at that time and I've spent 90% of my stay just working from home (no complaints as we are in a recession!) but do want to see Europe before heading home. | I'm fairly keen to see Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Cyprus.....Japan(a little random). I know geting to all these probably is a no no and expensive but hopefully some tips will get me started. I like your idea on SE Asia and plan on making that trip once back in Oz.. :o) Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 3 | |||||||||||
