| Advice on wheter to book diving course or not | |||||||||
JSP James White Post Count: 2 Msg: #1 98 days ago, August 19th 2009 | Hi there, | I'm going to Malaysia on honeymoon in late late Sept for 2&1/2 weeks. We plan to visit the Perhentian Island (Besar) for 4/5 days as part of our trip. After researching most of the resorts, It seems as if Tuna Bay is the best for value and comfort...However, we are not sure if it is best to book a Dive Package or just a basic snorkel package. The problem is that neither of us have any dive experience - so we would need to take the 5day 'Open Water' package. Does anyone have any experience of this package (or a simiar beginners course?). I'm not sure if a course like this would be spent mostly learning, getting instructions, theory, etc and very little time in the sea. It's supposed to be the most relaxing days of our trip in Malaysia (other time visiting Cameon Highlands, Taman Negara, Singapore) so we probably should just book a basic snorkel package if the dive course is very intense.
