Digital Camera suggestions?

Currently we're using a Canon Powershot S400 which isn't waterproof or resistant. It's a good camera, takes nice quality pics when the user doesn't f it up, but we'll be travelling in wet weather and wanted to find out what people are using or recommend. Reply to this

My friends uses a Pentax waterproof camera that he takes for rafting or even for a ride down splash mountain at Disney.
It takes good pics. He spent some $300 last year for it. Reply to this

I like the Nikon D50. The pictures are crisp and the color rich. Most top brand camera SLR's will give good results. Reply to this
