I've been looking at options for cheap travel from one destination to the other and thought Greyhound coach would be most affordable. Turns out the journey would come to $208. I don't think you could even rent a car for cheaper. I know it's usually quite expensive, but I think there is a promotion going on right now. A five minute search on WestJet's web site will show this. Many of the direct flights from Montreal to Calgary are already sold out at the seat sale price. I would book soon to avoid losing seat sale fares completely and to get better flights. Air Canada is matching these seat sale prices of $159 - $179. Even with fees ($242 total for $159 fares) its not worth the misery and time wasting of a multi-day bus trip. | Even if flying cost a little more taking the bus across the country would take days to get there. You would be wasting your vacation with miserable day-night trips sleeping on a bus.
