Driving around the island for a month...

Hi! I plan an extended road trip around the island of Puerto Rico for the month of September starting in San Juan. I would love to here from anyone who has spent time outside of the capital, exploring the island. I will be doing this "on the cheap" so any tips would be appreciated. Local input would be great too. Hi,

Did drive around without any problem. People are very nice and it's easy to get by the road system. Was there 2 years ago for few days.
