Hi there, I just signed up for travelblog. It's pretty cool in here. Anyway, I'm looking for a travelbuddy for costa rica..I'm leaving aug 15.

It'll be my first time in cr and I wanted to travel with someone (female preferably) Also, would like to get some suggestions about volunteering in cr. I would like to vlunteer but I don't want to pay too much $$$ coz i'm on a budget.

Hi Angela - I'll be in Costa Rica for a week between Aug.22 and Aug.29 if you're around and looking for a travel mate.....FYI - I'm not a girl though...and I'm canadian. Spoke to friends who have been there and apparently, other than San Jose at night, it's pretty safe.

hey adam, we can probably meet up.. not sure exactly when coz i'll be going to nicaragua as well. here's my plan. cr aug 15-16 then 17th bus to nica then staty there till i'm not sure when but for sure i'll be spending time in cr as well since my return flight is in cr. wuts ur plan? I'm going to ometepe, granada etc.

Hi Angela - I haven't scoped out my itinerary yet...i was told by colleagues and friends that one day in each of the major sites/parks is plenty - so you're plan to be in CR for only a few days is probably a good one. Nicaragua? Sounds fun…Grenada and Ometepec look nice - may head up there for more cultural things I suppose....but haven't looked into security in Nica yet, which kind of worries me a little. Will do some nica research online b/c I know next to nothing about that country.

LOL - I’m not very creepy actually.

I wasn’t planning to stay in San Jose once I arrive, so we could possibly meet up there which will be convenient given I am also flying out from there.

Have you looked into Panama?
