Bed and Breakfast in Lima

Looking for a reputable B&B
14 years ago, June 12th 2009 No: 1 Msg: #75950
I will be in Lima for 2 nights and one day in August on my way to Cusco. I would like to stay in a Bed and Breakfast. It is hard to tell from web sites and reviews which one to select. Any recommendations? I will be arriving on Friday @ 10PM, so I want to be within 1/2 hour or so of the airport. My Spanish is not that good, which may be a consideration. I would like to site see the next day, and then fly on to Cusco the day after that.

Gracias,

I'm not sure whether it's a B&B, but I can recommend you K'ussilus in Miraflores. I stayed there myself on three occasions and have none but good experiences. The location is superb (on Av. Larco next to Kennedy Park), the staff friendly and the price suprisingly cheap. Although K'ussilus has a dorm room, it does not have the typical hostel atmosphere, and instead mainly lets out private rooms. Reply to this

Casa Ana is a bed and breakfast about 20 minutes from the airport and at the same time at walking distance from Lima's Plaza Mayor in the historic center. They provide a walking route map to Plaza Mayor for free. They speak quite reasonable English and are very knowledgable about Lima and helpful. They pick up from airport at any time of day or night and can also arrange a reliable moderately priced taxi to return to the airport at any time of day or night.

Hotel Gemina on Grau in Barranco is a quiet clean and reasonable place to stay just 5 minutes from the park in Barranco. It is very secure, Carlos on reception speaks English and is very helpful with information and taxies. It is more of a family/business type guest house and not a hostel. Great little place for a layover as they arrange taxies wake you up, make breakfast even if your on a very early flight. Reply to this

I would check out airbnb, it´s a community and you can see comments from other people about the place you want to stay. Plus its usually a real persons house and they will help you out in any way you want. Good luck

The town boasts many fine bed and breakfast establishments operated by locals, as well as numerous luxurious resorts and spas. Barranco, that's my favourite place in the entire town. Reply to this
