Flying into Guatemala on Monday, planning on catching a chicken bus over to Xela, any tips? Reply to this

For a long trip like Guate City to Xela - your best bet is the express bus - not very expensive. You'll get plenty of opportunity for long chicken bus rides later ;)
Guate to Antigua - go chicken bus :)
Keep your valuables/fragiles in your day bag, on your person and don't be alarmed with the ayudantes (bus helpers) who will practically throw your backpack on top of the bus! - be prepared for very very cramped conditions but one of the most rewarding experiences. Reply to this

It s possible to use Shuttles. It s not very expensive and sure.
