This is my first time riding the trains in Europe. I'm wondering which website to use/buy my tickets off of. I've found several sites and some of them have very confusing schedules. One site made it seem like it would take 10 hours to go from Munich to Salzberg. That just doesn't seem right. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Hi Courtney,

In Germany, the only real way is to go on the web site of the DB, the national railway. The timetable is efficient and they do allow to book ticket....the earlier you do it, the cheapest it is. Hope this help.

Hello Courtney

No, not 10 hours. I went all the way from Munich to the capital of Slovenia(dont know how to spell it) via Salzburg in less than one day.

For buying train tickets from a destination in Germany to another destination in Germany or Europe I use www.DB.de There is an option to change it to English.
