Hey guys I wil be travelling to London Shortly and I dont want to use my Native Sim card since I wil be charged roaming and incoming.. So I am looking to buy a Prepaid on arrival in London.

My question is whether I will be required to give Identification documents for a Prepaid Mobile phone ?{Handset with SIM or Just the Sim either way is Ok}

I may sound stupid, but Like we saw in Bourne Ultimatum , the Bourne guy just goes to a shop at waterloo and asks Prepaid Phone and gets a Box Without any Hassle such as Documents n Stuff. Just want to know if this is really how it works or is it just movie life. And in real Life We have to Show all Documents and wait for 24 hours to activate the connection.

Thank You....

Hi there!

It really is as simple as Bourne makes it out to be!!! You dont need any ID, you can just walk into a shop and buy one over the counter! Been a while since I bought a pre-paid one but I dont think its changed at all, I know that other countries are MUCH MUCH stricter about getting hold of one, makes me wonder why its so lax over here!

All the best for your trip!

p.s. you can buy a handset over the counter as easy as that too. Again, I havent bought a handset without entering into a contract for a while but as far as I know u can just walk in and get one, no questions asked!

If you have any problems while your here, gimme a shout and I'm only happy to help!

Tesh.
