I need some advice on sending a small package to Thailand...

have a couple of books to send to a friend, not super urgent but I would like it to take less than few weeks and not cost too much.
I have a proper address in Phuket
Should i send it royal mail from the u.k. or should I ship it via DHL? Any other advice on it not being 'lost' in transit?

Or should i just wait for a friend to go visiting and drop it off and then buy them a beer?!

Hi,

It's all depend the time you have. By post, should be way cheaper than DHL. The trick is to ask what are the different levels....1.01kg is a LOT more than 999gr....than you can play with it. If you are below 4 pounds, posting by royal mail should be the easiest option I think. Reply to this

Also there is surface mail vs. air mail to consider - surface mail lots cheaper - but up to 6 months. Though KL/Brazil/Thailand to the UK has always taken about 2-3 months when I've sent. Reply to this
