| Planning a trip around the world, I seem to be stuck in Buenos Aires. What's my best chance of making it to Cape Town? | |||||||||

There are a few cargo ships that do it, but despite all the websites I've found, none has really helped me grasp how that works. Do I need to book in advance or can I show up at the port and ask which ships are heading to Africa? | I've also been on www.floatplan.com and seen that there are people that let you hitchhike on boats, is this possible? Has anyone here done it? any tips on how to? I've been told that there are always regattas crossing from Buenos Aires to Africa that need extra crew... how do I go about finding my way onto one of those boats? Any help would be great! thanks!
