Irish - Bolivian Situation

 South America » Bolivia
Are you an Irish citizen in Bolivia at the moment? If so, are you experiencing negativity because of the Irish-Bolivian situation? If you are an Irish person considering visiting Bolivia, is the situation causing you to change your destination or feel apprehensive? Have you crossed any of the borders between Bolivia and other countries? If so, did you have any problems? Did you have any problems at the airports in Bolivia?

Are there now OK priced tickets to fly from Europe to Bolivia? I was searching for one a couple of years ago and they were much more expensive than tickets to other S. American countries.

Ive been looking at flights to South America in general on a site called "e-dreams.com" which seem to be resonable enough. Ive been checking Santiago/BA/Quito more that Bolivia but they seem to be a bit cheaper than on others which Ive checked. The flights I priced were about 450-550 euro one way depending on time and location.

The hostels I stayed in were the Loki and I visited the Wild Rover, if you stay in the Loki try to get rooms towards the back of the hostel on the bottom floor as its a bit of a party hostel. I can recommend the Vertigo biking company for the Death Raod bike trip and the Limpez company with Walter as a driver for a three day tour of the salt flats across to San Pedro.
