I was wondering if there is anybody that would be interested in joining me for a trekking expedition in Nepal. I have lived there for 1 year before and returned in February month from a 30 day trip. It is an amazing country, making you experience and learn so much. I am thinking of either going to Tibet, or trekking for two weeks in the Himalayas next year, depending on the group. I can arrange everything as my friend has a company there that would supply us with Sherpas, accommodation, etc. The cost is minimal as the exchange rate is $1.00 to 75 rupees. To give you an idea a meal is about 190 rupees in the cities, so about $2.00. The cheapest would be to fly to Delhi and taking a train from there, and for those that are not on a budget the cost of the plane ticket from Delhi to Kathmandu is $500 return( I paid that in February.)
I was thinking maybe of combining the trip with some volunteer work, but am open to any suggestions or comments. Looking forward to hearing from you.
