Is it cheaper to get stand-by?

I know only LAN flies to the easter islands and I want to go sometime in June of this year from santiago. Due to it being a quieter time down there do you think it would be cheaper to show up at the airport and get on stand-by rather than booking ahead?

All flights to EI depart full. I really doubt you would get a seat at any time of year. You might look into buying a ticket when you get here and see what they cost, but this is a very popular destination all year.

Hi Patrick,

It's also due to the fact there are very few flights. To my knowledge, it's only LAN and they have only 2 or 3 flights a week. These flights are doing Santiago-Easter Island-Papetee( Tahiti)...

There are not cheap at all, but if you fly from outside South America orignaly, you may want to look in a pass from Lan Chile.
