There is an extensive ferry system serving the Croatian islands. I enjoyed the isles of Hvar and Brac the most. Tourism and camping facilities approach those in Western Europe and many in the tourism industry speak fluent English. | There is a small sliver of Bosnia Herzegovina that you must cross to reach Dubrovnik. I didn't have any problems, but an aquaintance of mine passed through the same section during the night, and he was stopped by police seeking a "donation".
