Looking for mountaineering partners in the Andes in the next months

During May, June and July in Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia

From beginning of April onwards I will be staying in Northern Peru. From there I plan to do some mountaineering trips to some areas in Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia. Everthing is still very flexible.

So I am looking for people who are at the same time in these parts of the Andes and up for something like this. It would be really nice to find a similar minded person or groups to join (although I would prefer not to join bigger commercial groups).

I would like to do for example a 2-3 week trip each in May and June to either Ecuador (Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, etc...) or Bolivia (Cordillera Real or close). Also I want to go during or after this period to the Cordillera Blanca and attempt some peaks (maybe two of 5.500m and one 6.000m).

Like I said, nothing really planned yet. But I have already a lot of specific climbing information for the Andes and almost all equipment necessary, except for glacier travelling material (harness, rope). I also have been already high altitude trekking for example in the Cordillera Blanca and Nepal and mountaineering in the Arequipa area and Austria. Given my relatively small experience, the grades might be rather F and PD.

Maybe someone here has similar plans that could be connected?

Also any advice for interesting trips is welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Hey Nils,

I responded to your other post...I'm looking to meet up with some experienced alpinists who are interested in one or two routes in Cordiallera Blanca. Nothing serious, as this will be my first high altitude climbs (I grew up in the Canadian Rockies). If you're in the area around May 25-June 10 feel free to get in touch,

Hi Andy,

I am sorry for not getting in touch with you earlier - til the last minute I was still thinking about where to go.
Eventually i decided to go to the Cordillera Blanca too.

But I will already arrive there on the 13st or 14st of may. Acclimatize for 2-3 days and then I want to do some climbing. Right now I am checking the prices for guides. In the end I only need a companion. I am not that tecnically experienced but the peaks I am planning to climb are not that (tecnically) difficult: Pisco+Chopicaulqui or Ishinca+Urus+Tocllaraju.

Let me know when exactly you arrive (another post says may 18, so I am confused) - so maybe I could do something with a guide before that and than we could meet to do some other peak. I have already done the santa cruz trek - so I am not that interested in doing it again.
