I am looking for somewhere slightly different to spend a couple of weeks with my boyfriend in late August/Early September, before I go back to uni. I am on a gap year and have been to a few places, but I am looking to go somewhere slightly different.. I know 2 weeks isn\'t very long, but some places we have suggested are:
China
Galapagos Islands
Iceland
Iceland seems the cheapest and probably the most viable (I might do China on my RTW 2013!) especially due to the short amount of time we will be there for. Although, is 2 weeks TOO much, or is there enough going on to keep us busy every day?
Or if anyone has any other suggestions? Bearing in mind, we are not bothered about the climate (unless it is TOO hot..say 35degreesC+) or the distance from the UK.
I don\'t want to do Australia or NZ just yet, and it would be pointless for 2 weeks.
Thanks 😊

Here is a thread that may help you make up your mind.
Iceland seems the cheapest...
I think China may actually be the cheapest.
I really would not know whcih to choose from your list if I was choosing. I have been to China, so I would choose from the other two, but all 3 are great destinations in my opinion.

Reply to this Oh, I forgot to post the link to the Iceland thread, that was supposed to help you make up your mind. :D
Iceland Reply to this it can be Vietnam PLUS Cambodia. 14 days are enough not miss anything in those countries while pricing is likely same as China visit.
Reply to this Costa Rica is quite nice and if two weeks is just a little too long for just CR, you can cross into Panama for a few days. There's plenty of things to do (rainforest trekking & eco-tourism, learn to surf, climb a volcano, visit the Panama canal, rock climb, etc.) and, aside from airfare, is reasonably cheap.
