Price was reasonable, food was good, there were 8 of us on a boat which would easily sleep 16. Went kayaking which is definitely to be recommended and had hot showers. They also pay dock their boat in a smaller cove with only 2 or 3 other boats rather than the main area which gets really full. | qwertyjjj qwertyjjj Post Count: 162 Msg: #3 60 weeks ago, January 23rd 2009 | Cool. Having done this a few weeks ago I say it is all down to what you want. If you want relaxing then you should book through a few places recommended on other posts, ie the tour agencies just North or\f the lake. If you want fun then there really isn't an alternative apart from to stay at the hostel in town. They charge ridiculous prices and take waaay too much commission but you will have fun and meet a lot of people your own age group and get to know them. If I'd been on a tour agency boat where I was moved around all the time then I would have been very p'd off. | deleted_107960 deleted_107960 Post Count: 4 Msg: #4 60 weeks ago, January 24th 2009 | A great way to see spectacular Halong Bay is on a slow cruise through the seemingly never-ending bay of islands. Lay in the sun, enjoy a selection of the freshest seafood, and capture photograph after photograph. Later take a more intense look of one of the islands, "get off the beaten track" at a more leisurely pace. Finish the day with an amazing night's swim in the phosphorescent water. On board the Baitulong Junk take part in boat-watching, sunset and sunrise. Actually be a part of the magic. | Administrator B Travelblog Administration Post Count: 247 Msg: #5 53 weeks ago, March 10th 2009 | 1 account deleted. 1 URL blacklisted. None of this Cat Bah hotel BS. I can't remember what street they are located on in Hanoi, but after hearing other peoples experiences with other tour companies, I'm thankful that we found this one. system TravelBlog System User Post Count: 1044 Msg: #8 52 weeks ago, March 19th 2009 | 3 posts moved to this topic: Reporting SPAM | deleted_114273 deleted_114273 Post Count: 4 Msg: #9 52 weeks ago, March 20th 2009 | I can't remember when we have visited Halong bay & Cat Ba island, 3 days 2 nights ( haft day in halong bay, kayaking, over night in the classic sale board, confortable ! one day in CatBa island it's beautiful, agreable air and one day in Tuan Chau Island ), we can see wonderful all the place in halong <snip> | [Edited: 07:09 - Mell ] HanoiAirportTransfer Hanoi Airport Transfer Post Count: 5 Msg: #10 14 weeks ago, December 8th 2009 | Hi there ! | I agree with Heather and Jason, Ocean Travel is a good choice for Halong bay tours <snip> [Edited: 07:28 - Mell ] NateDoggs Nathan Moore Post Count: 3 Msg: #11 10 weeks ago, January 3rd 2010 | Hey, | I work in travel and have had a lot of experience with selling packages to Vietnam & Halong Bay.
