Americana wants to travel Cuba

I'm an American and I want to visit Cuba. I've been told I can travel by plane from Mexico and The Cuban immigration will not stamp my passport. Is this accurate? Is it safe? Will I be fined or imprisoned? I live for adventure but I love my freedom => Any and all suggestions, advice, or opionions would be much appreciated. Happy Travels! Reply to this
