The major blocking point is whether to fly between Luang Prabang and Pakse as everyone I've seen said not to bother with Vientiane. AM also worried about the Laos airlines safety record... From Luang Prabang - Vang Vieng - one of the nicest river scenes world wide - plus rope swings and inflated tires. Vang Vieng - Vientiane - Pakse (~12hrs bus) and Don Deit (4000 islands) - but then getting onwards from this area is tricky - the journey to Phon Penn - is a long one. It's a journey I made and very much enjoyed. HTH qwertyjjj qwertyjjj Post Count: 162 Msg: #3 333 days ago, December 25th 2008 | What's the road journey like? I've heard scary reports about LP to VV. | Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 3 | |||||||||||
