What to use for transportation?

Hello.
Let me know which is the best method to get from Bucharest to Timişoara. Should I go by train, bus or should I rent a car? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

For ease of use, train is probbaly your best bet. There is probably an overnight service from Bucharest as the train takes around 12 hours. You could drive it, but the roads are appalling - no motorway - it's all single carriageway and if you get stuck behind a slow farm truck (which is highly likely!) the drive can take around 14 hours...There are direct flights between Bucharest and Timisoara, but you do miss out on the scenery. It is ever so much faster though! Reply to this

I appreciate your response.

I forgot about this thread here so I have already had my option. I used the bus after all, paid 60 RON with Lututrans and it took almost 12 hours. I was quite satisfied.

If anyone may add useful information on this topic, go for it.

Thanks,

I traveled myself with train, but just because I do not like buses. Hope you will have a good time in Timisoara, I was there and it is a nice city, with lots of parks. Reply to this
