Should I get Egypt Visa before I leave the U.S.A.? Is it easier or any risk getting Egypt Visa at the airport in Cairo when I arrive? Please give advice, thanks.
Reply to this For european, it's very easy. You just need to double check with the closest egyptian consulate to see what they sat. It's actually just a sticker that you purchase....a kind of entry tax.
Have fun!

Reply to this Hello Liana 😊
I dont remember having had any difficulty. I didnt get anything before I left. Whatever I got was at the airport in Cairo. I cant remember if it cost me anything. The worst of it was that the immigration queue was very long but smoking in the airport was allowed so that made the waiting in the queue easier. :D I have an Irish passport and it was 10 years ago when I went to Egypt.

Reply to this International Airports have visa on arrival in Egypt. To be sure please do check the Egyptian Embassy website - google it and the website should tell you exactly what you need for worry-free travel to Egypt.
Reply to this Dear All,
Its very Easy and that is for sure to get the Visa @ Sharm Airport, HUrghada Airport, and Cairo Airport,

Reply to this I am coming to Spain first and then Egypt. I am from Argentina. Do you think I need to get the visa here? How much dollars or euros does it costs? Thx
Reply to this Normally, you can get a visa at the airport, it is a very easy process.
However, check with the Egyptian Embassy in Argentina (if there is one) as you may need to purchase yours in advance. There are different rules for different nationalities.
Reply to this YES you can get a visa at the airport, it is a very easy process , UR WELCOME TOY EGYPT
Reply to this Thx marlboroeg
If you tell me that I won´t care about. The consulate today told me with an answering machine that all citizans must get a visa to go and it takes 48 hours to get it. If it is easier at the airport of Cairo and I won´t be rejected from the country I love best in my life, it's ok. hahahah
The visa here costs U$ 35. Do you know the cost there?
Reply to this Hi Monica,
Was there last year, and if I remember well, it's 15usd. With an argentinian passport, it should not be an issue. Actually, I consider this more like a tax than a visa per se...as what you do is give them the cash and they give you a sticker to put in your passport, no questions asked.
But the best is to call the Egyptian embassy in Buenos Aires...they are the ONLY ones who will give you up-to-date and accurate info....don't trust nybody else. If they tell you that you need a visa before arrival, get one there...easy and straightforward.
Hope this help,
Peter
Reply to this Wow Thx Peter
I will talk with them tomorrow, no answering machine in between LOL. And so I´ll do what they tell me.
Thx a lot. I don´t want to stay at the airport for long. nor to be rejected
Sincerely
Monica
Reply to this hi Monica,
i think visa here costs U$ 35 not more and take it from air port , my freind coming from romania and pay
15 eur only
regards
and welcome to egypt
Reply to this I went in June, and flew to Cairo. I queued for no more than 5 mins, airport staff will direct you to the queue, and it cost £10, or I think it was $15. If you plan on leaving Egypt and coming back in, you can get a multiple entry visa which you have to get before you go, as the one at the airport is single entry, and they stamp over it on the way out.
Reply to this Thx I´ve been to Egypt and Jordan during June - July this year (2009) and back home.
