I don\'t care so much about all that \'party\' bs, I just need a hostel that\'s decently priced in an ok location. Reply to this

Hey Matt,

Well Matt if you are going to London I would not suggest looking for a moderately priced hostel when for the same amount of money you can stay in a hotel. Check out hostelworld.com but when you search London uncheck hostel and check budget hotels. The ONE I would suggest staying at is HYDE Hotel it is great and a quaint hotel with great but small rooms at an amazing price. BUT what is even better it is a 1 minute walk from Paddington Station where the heathrow express comes into London and also a major tube hub for the underground. Plus there are great pubs all around to eat an excellent lunch. I stayed at the HYDE Hotel for a week and ate lunch everyday in the Sawyers Arms pub and had a night cap down the street in the Victoria Pub. The Victoria Pub was also excellent because the young bartender who talked your ears off and ask about what you did that day and offer excellent suggestions for other places to visit. So I suggest:

1) Staying near Paddington station
2) Stay at the HYDE Hotel
3) Grab lunch at the Sawyer Arms Pub
4) Have a night cap at the Victoria Pub

Hey, we are heading over there shortly, have booked at the Generator Hostel - it was one of the cheapest I could find, and it appears to have very cheap drinks... 😊
