Seeking a hotel at the Quito airport

Does anyone know if there is a clean basic right at the airport?
We'll be arriving late from Miami and on a 6:00am flight to Loja.
We really don't want to travel to downtown Quito for a room for 7 hours
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Reply to this

There is one literally just opposite the airport which is ok-ish. Not the nicest place I've ever stayed in and very overpriced for what it is - $55 for a double room when it's only as nice as a basic hostel but I believe it is the only one nearby. Can't remember the name I'm afraid but it's literally opposite the main entrance a little to the left on the opposite side of the road. Alternatively, the majority of the big hotels provide shuttles to and from the airport. Reply to this

My daughter - who spent 20 nights there - has put me in touch with Jumbo Lodging in the old town. Not so close, but much cheaper at $20 single, $25 double, and Luis the owner will do an airport pick-up. So that's where I'm going when I arrive late at night in June.
