magicsuerte Tara Post Count: 7 Msg: #1 60 weeks ago, October 28th 2008 | Hi! | I was just wondering if anyone had been to any yoga centres in India? I am hoping to go to India for three weeks in February or March next year. Initially I was going to go to Goa but now I\'m not so sure...from what I\'ve read, it doesn\'t strike me as being the \"true\" India that I had imagined. Instead, I have a vision of it being more \"westernised\" than anything. I am hoping to do two weeks of Yoga and then travel for a week, so I wanted to be somewhere that was well connected by public transport. Would it be better maybe to go to Delhi or Bombay? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a mill :) Tara blueriver Beautiful green place in South India with Mountains,River and Sea... It is a very old Indian city which, in my opinion is the most "authentic Indian City". Check it out. magicsuerte Tara Post Count: 7 Msg: #6 25 weeks ago, June 26th 2009 | Hi all! | Well the plans for my trip to India have changed from my original 3 weeks in March to 6 months beginning in September; also having the objective of travelling even more. I am flying to Mumbai in mid September and was then planning on travelling to Pune for about a week or ten days before going north to Rishikesh to do a course and was basically just wondering if anyone knew of any yoga centres/teachers in Pune? I would love to do maybe an intensive ten day course if something like that was available. I was also wondering if anyone had any idea as to how much money it would be best to bring if I travel for six months? Some of that time will be spent volunteering in Nepal, so say for about five months moreso in Northern India. I'm trying to work out roughly how much I should bring... Thanks a mill! Yoga is not a complete physical practice, it surely requires mass energy and spiritual empowered teacher for you to attain complete relaxation/ and later on bliss. Its always advisable to start practicing yoga from a holy(energetic) place. Yoga centers are available throughout India. The charges are normally 100.00 rs to 150.00rs hourly . tgv [Edited: 10:23 - travelguidevarkala ] JI BALAJI SESHAN Post Count: 8 Msg: #8 24 weeks ago, July 8th 2009 | Hi Tara | Nice to hear from you after very long time. In pune "Great Master OSHO Ashram" is there. But i found it very expensive to do the course. Accommodation alone cost you nearly 60 to 100 $ USD. But you can stay outside ashram and participate the course. You can get the details even locally at your place through the OSHO centres. They have centers globally. For total trip for 5 to 6 Months you need to have at least 30 $ USD per day including the budget (But clean and good) accommodation with 03 times basic meals. Not going for expensive restaurants or big hotels. North India is very good place for to make a trip as first time visit to India. Even you can find best places at Rishikesh "OMKARANANTHA" school of yoga and other best places are there. They have website too. Write to me if you need more on this... Have a wonderful trip in INDIA!!!!! Luv & Rgs JI magicsuerte Tara Post Count: 7 Msg: #9 23 weeks ago, July 12th 2009 | Thanks very much for your comments.
