We are trying to get money to our guide (a family friend) and having some difficulty. A bank does not garauntee prompt delivery. The safest is of course via a bank transfer, but you need bank accounts etc. The quickest if you leave in a week is to take it with you yourselves. The cash point machines work well in Nairobi, so you can get cash out with your creditcard (VISA for example) easily. Everything takes a long time in East Africa.....and these sort of things are not as easily done as at home. Ask the bank for a SWIFT transfer if they do it. Are you sending from the UK or USA? I used them before and they are pretty fast enough.
