Most hostels have dorm beds for $7-$9 or basic privates for $20. In a soda (little restaurant) you can get an enormous plate of rice, beans, fish, salad, plantain for about $3 travel by public bus is really cheap, you can travel across the country for less than $10. tourist attractions are a little pricey though not astronomical, most adventure activites are between $40 and 70 depending on what you are upto. pura vida!
