So here are a few journals that have grabbed my attention over the last few days:

Travelin Z - The Asian Zlympics - really funny overview of Asian travels from TravelinZ
Jessie and Stacy - recommended by Chods, they have some really neat shots and stories.
Weez n Wife - I've been following these guys down through Laos and Cambodia - just a few days behind, expecting to meet them in a bar randomly... but not yet. Would be front pagers if they didn't keep putting beer shots as their first photo ;)

Please post if you read something good - we make our choices for the front page based on your recommendations. We're looking for:

Funny, distinctive, good photos, descriptive language, correctly catagorised eg. photos and stories from where they're listed - and ideally current - journals from with the last month (or combinations of these).

Ps. No more votes for Cumberland Sausage ;) - we all know they're great!

Top of my nominations is without a doubt Coffeecat. Her sense of humour and photos have captured and inspired me for the last few months. I think she must be the ¨Backpacking Bridget Jones¨!!

You know, I was browsing around deep in the bowels of travelblog the other day, and it struck me; damn that Sausage-bloke takes some smashing pictures!

Check out Esclaw's blog. It's a funny and entertaining diary of the life and times of an American family living Down Under. Granted, she's my best friend so I'm slightly biased, but I'm confident that you won't be disappointed!

I thought they were random too! I nominate wherearewenow - Ben and Heather are an absolute cack. They have lots of interesting stories and some pretty cool photos.

... then on the way home we stopped at a traditional Hmong village but if constantly trying to sell stuff to tourists is their traditional way of life then I'm #*!?ing Homer Simpson ffs!

- from Not a lot here is there? Right, let's get leathered!

One that won't be on the front page... too much swearing! - but had me laughing a lot is Bobfred - Dan Kirk

I hope you update the front page soon, yes Bedridden's blog kicked ass but he hasn't logged in in months. Give some other people a chance! And I don't even read the front page any more because the entries you choose seem rather esoteric.

But I love Travelblog good job man. Reply to this

Yeah the highlighted bloggers are out of date (maybe why they seem esoteric) - but the featured blog entries that get put on the front page are selected from a wide range of bloggers - just got to spot them... so who elses blogs would you put on the front page? Reply to this

She posts about three times a week - be sure to read the archives, lots of good stuff, i'm always forwarding to friends

Maybe it is because they are writing about places we are about to visit, or maybe it is because I nicked my Santiago cathedral pic from them, but jimandmel make for a very funny and highly entertaining read.

Look at your stats... is anyone reading it? I think if you have 1 or 2 people that really enjoy your writing style, or just your travels (*outside friends and family) then I'm really happy. Most of all for me though is just having them here among everyone else. I show so many people this website because of different interests they have. Either traveling, skiing, Muay Thai kickboxing, whatever it may be... If your blog makes you happy, then that's what matters. Reply to this
