I'm planning on doing a full central american cross coming up from columbia and was wondering if anyone has ever found work on a boat going into panama from columbia. I do not want to pay to sail but have some sailing experience and am a hard worker, any tips on getting a free ride?

Go to Colon, Panama and walk over to the docks....you might get lucky. Otherwise a plane from Allbrook Field to Puerto Obaldia, about $100usd then a canoe ride to Capurguna, about $15usd.....then a 2 hour canoe ride to Turbo, Colombia, about $20usd or 20k colombian pesos. From there catch a bus to wherever you want.
