Europe In November
Wanting some advice/ideas about travelling Europe in November.

Hi guys
A friend and I have never been travelling before and are wanting to see a bit of culture in Europe. However, due to work we can only travel for a month thru November.
Can anyone give any advice about travelling Europe at this time please? And in fact, is it actually worth it at this time? If everything's gonna be closed then we can sort something out for next year at a better time.
Please help... (and be honest, if travelling at this time's gonna be turd then please say)

Hello Ben :)
I actually like travelling in Europe in Wintertime when it isnt swarming with tourists. Also Winter is when the best plane and train bargains are available.
I am not sure what type of culture you are interested in so maybe the thing to do would be to get a copy of the Lonely Planet guide for Europe. That will have information about cultural things to do and see around Europe as well as other information. It is available for around 30 Euros in most bookshops around the world.

I would start with places in the north and work my way south...I would read a good guidebook...I like Rick Steves...I usually travel in October and find it to be quite nice. Reply to this

Hi. I have also been looking for helpful information as I prepare for my trip to London this September. I agree that a good guide is needed. I found great help in London Guide and I am already having so much fun just with the planning!

Are you planning to rent a car? To me the best way to travel is to rent a car, hop in and go....no plans no worries, and everyday is a new adventure. We did it last summer and it was great. See my blog Reply to this
