We're 3 guys planning a vacation for this summer.

We're looking for a place loud and alive, with great nightlife, beaches and young people (read less families and old golfers). Any specific hotel/camping suggestions would also be welcome =)

To be more precise we got the first two weeks of August, so if anyone thinks of events/festivals and such, again very appreciated!

Hi Franck,
Where are you located and how far do you want to travel? For places that are loud and alive on the east coast, Florida generally is a top pick for people (e.g. Miami). New Orleans isn't on the East Coast but always a great place to go out for a good party! No beaches there though. Both places will be quite warm in August, but then again that's true for the majority of East Coast destinations. You can check out the following sites for festivals during that time: festivalsandevents.com/ or www.festivals.com

Hope this helps!!

No one does it quite like Miami, so if you want sunny beaches and crazy nightlife, Miami is right up there. However, it isn't really considered "East Coast" as much as just Florida. There are tons of beaches in Florida that are known for their parties, but they can get pretty trashy, i.e. Dayton Beach. The Carolina's have nice coasts, and while I haven't been there, I've heard great things. Amazing food, etc.

When I think of great East Coast cities, I'd say Boston, New York, and DC. Each one parties hard and are considered young cities. Though, early August most of the students in Boston, which is 1/5 of the city, will not be there. However, DC will be full of interns working for the government at that time. NYC is NYC. Absolutely insane whenever you go. None of those have beaches though. Or at least beaches you would want to swim at. Reply to this

Yah Miami is pretty crazy as far as the nightlife and has really pretty beaches. You could also stay in Hollywood, Fl just north of Miami. It has some awesome bars and the beach is gorgeous. I think J-ville is an awesome town too but I don't think it has a huge nightlife Reply to this

Norfolk Virginia is supposedly really nice too. While I haven't been there, I have a friend who worked out their frequently and she really enjoyed the area. It is low key, but supposedly great food and a reasonable night life. Reply to this
