I enjoyed Seven Pounds too though. | A good film that is coming out is Nothing But the Truth with Kate Beckinsale in. It's a thriller about a journalist in US uncovering a CIA operative. Its based on a true story but I'm not sure how much of it is actually the truth!! Its a good film though and not like the typical CIA thriller stories - its worth checking out Dymphna Lee Ann Post Count: 464 Msg: #23 33 weeks ago, May 7th 2009 | Saw Taken and Wolverine over the weekend. Went to the drive-in, the only way to see a movie, $6.00 to see them both and I could talk to the people around me during the movies. | Both movies were really great. Wolverine go to the origins of super hero. It explains a great deal about him and why he is the way he is. There were a few other super heroes in it. Dead Zone shows up at the end. Taken made me think. At 17 I was in France alone.... I was astonished by the situations they deal with. I never knew they take such risks with their safety to help peolple. They did things like go to Rowanda during the genocide. They said that was the most harrowing time of all for them. Mell Mell Post Count: 15162 Msg: #28 30 weeks ago, June 3rd 2009 | I also saw 'Bled Number One' and 'Mark of an Angel' while I was in Dublin too. | It is always difficult to describe what those types of films are about, because the actual story is the sub theme while the philosophical, psychological and socialogical twists are like the main themes but difficult to describe. I saw these movies at the Irish Film Insitute in Temple Bar, Dublin in case anyone going to Dublin is interested in checking it out. If you are not interested in these types of films it is still a good place to hang out because they serve nice food and there is a cafe and bar. I want to see that one - it looks really good. | Slester Slester Panechy Post Count: 22 Msg: #30 29 weeks ago, June 7th 2009 | Star trek is pretty good. though i thought it felt like a pirates of the carribean in space. there is the same kind of quick quips and one liners with enough references for the trekkies, but it is a fast paced and very enjoyable film. | Dymphna Lee Ann Post Count: 464 Msg: #31 29 weeks ago, June 8th 2009 | Star Trek was originally sold to the producers as a western in space. So to say Pirates of the Carribean in space is funny. | Slester Slester Panechy Post Count: 22 Msg: #32 29 weeks ago, June 9th 2009 | seriously you could have exchanged james t kirk for jack sparrow and im not sure if anyone would actually notice | micheal47 micheal smith Post Count: 5 Msg: #33 6 weeks ago, November 13th 2009 | Hello All, | I saw Slumdog Millionaire. i found that great. <snip> [Edited: 20:19 - Mell ] dexternicholson Dexter Nicholson Post Count: 49 Msg: #34 5 weeks ago, November 26th 2009 | I just move to a new house and there weren't any satellite or cable service just yet so I was stuck with a few DVDs. Here are what I have seen this past 3 days. | Paranormal Activities - its not that scary but when you are about to sleep, yah kinda get to think of it and it scares me Harry Potter - didn't really fancy watching it, only for the nephews so I couldn't comment on it UP - not as good as how it seemed in its trailer Surrogate - didn't really enjoyed it Jennifer's body - ;) Dymphna Lee Ann Post Count: 464 Msg: #35 15 days ago, December 15th 2009 | The Blind Side is SOOOOO good. | Mell Mell Post Count: 15162 Msg: #36 14 days ago, December 17th 2009 | I saw a bunch of movies, in the Dublin last weekend. A German film week was on, so most of the movies I say were set in Germany. | One was about the day the Berlin wall came down. Another was an interview with a Jewish woman who had a baby in Auswitz.
