jetsmom shirley mergen Post Count: 1 Msg: #1 83 weeks ago, May 30th 2008 | hello, | I'm planning a trip with husband and 2 boys, ages 11 and 14. We are coming for a work trip, staying at Los Suenos Marriott in Herradura Bay. We are staying an extra 5 days and I need guidance on planning the trip. Would like to stay in other areas at cheap/quaint hotels that are more authentic, but am at a loss for where/how to stat planning. zip line is a must and rafting (not too wild rapids). horseback riding and snorkeling. thanks for all your help. deleted_74424 deleted_74424 Post Count: 10 Msg: #2 83 weeks ago, June 1st 2008 | Hi Jetsmom, | For all type of tours and travels Viamigo is the only source of mine for information. If you do stay in Manuel Antonio, eat your dinner at "El Gran Escape".. they have great food. Another good area to visit would be Arenal... Montana de Fuego is a nicer hotel in the area with great views of the volcano right outside many of th rooms so you can see th lave going down the volcano at night. | Mike www.livecostarica.net Oceans Oceans Unlimited Dive Instructors Post Count: 35 Msg: #4 83 weeks ago, June 2nd 2008 | Hola Shirley, | I live in Manuel Antonio and there are many activities here that are suitable for young children. I agree with Michael, La Colina is a lovely small hotel or possibly the Mono Azul (Blue Monkey) that is a family run hotel, they are very motivated to protecting the environment and 2 Saturdays out of every month they have a youth group that does environmental activites called Kids Saving the Rainforest. Could be should cool for your kids to get involved in. Here there in also the National Park, plus i have listed some activities that are suitable for kids and operators which I would recommend. Rafting - H20 rafting or Iguana Tours (Rio Savegre is quite a relaxed ride, or the naranjo for something a bit more bouncy, ask which is more suitable depending on the amount of rainfall) Canopy Tour - Canopy Safari is very safe and great fun. Horse riding - Finca Valmi We offer snorkeling and diving at Oceans Unlimited I hope this ino helps and have a great trips to Costa Rica.
