Why join a travel site?

I was sent a survey from a travel site recently. One of the questions was why do you join travel sites. I am curious about how others would answer that question.

I think its all of the above for me. I love reading about where people have gone and learning along the way. I also love sharing my travels with others and getting feedback. Keeps you in the travel spirit!

All of the above except maybe d. It's all about the information for me, both getting and giving.

Here is the reason I love the travel blog. My husband is a pastor and we have several opportunities to travel around the world. He speaks at conferences with our missionaries and teaches Bible Institute Classes to national pastors. Also, our kids and other extended family live in different parts of the US and around the world so the travel blog is a good way to keep them all updated as to what we are up to.

To share some of the places I have visited and to inflict my 'slides' onto the world instead of my ever suffering friends.

A, B, C, and D. I traveled to Italy a few months ago and spent my last 2 days in Rome alone - I had an American Express card with me and little cash - nobody took AMEX - not even the Vatican. It was a little scary not having cash on hand but all worked out and I was able to have money Western Unioned to me. Had I found a good Travel Forum, I would have known ahead of time.

I'd say all of them! For me though mostly it's about reminiscing about my past travels, and looking at other poeple's blogs to daydream about what the next big adventure could be!!
