As I board the plan tonight to Miami, Florida; my trip is nearing its end. I will soon be back to the USA and eating a massive tub of JIFF crunchy peanut buddy and flushing toilet paper down the toilet (weird the things you crave?).
9.5 months, 14 wonderful/different countries. This has been a doozy.
Two months with my brother. One month with old roommate Todd Reynolds. Nine days in Peru with my Parents (amazing!). 6.5 months of wandering. I am walking away a changed person. The people I met, places I saw all shaped me into who I now am.
This trip has been everything I had hoped for and more. Sharing the experience with family, old friends, and new; made it truly unforgettable. South America is very large. All it took to realize that was my first 20 hour bus in Colombia and looking how far I advanced on the map. This continent definitely cannot be seen on one trip. I will absolutely return to this continent.
I have learned a ton. About myself. About the language. About the culture. About other people. This trip has been the most beneficial thing I could have ever
done for myself, and I highly encourage anybody who is thinking about taking a trip. Do it. Take it at your own pace, do what you want to do, and do it. Nike Motto folks.
Considering how impossible the task would be to "sum up" the trip or even really give you the highlights, I figured a simple album of some of my favorite pictures would suffice....Some of the best memories don't even have pictures. But these are some of the pictures. Pictures tell a better story anyways.
I cant thank my friends/family enough for coming along on this journey with me. I want to thank everyone that helped me out along the way... SO MUCH! I can't thank everyone enough for keeping me safe through your prayers and taking part in this adventure with me. I had a blast and I highly recommend getting out and seeing the world!
Like all great travelers, I have seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen. - Benjamin Disraeli
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off
the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain
Crap the VIP Diners Club Lounge in Sao Paulo (David Nemer has a card... yes!) will not allow me to upload any more pictures... But I do have 8 that I liked. Dang it. Well.... Here are a few. Next week I will add more.
