The horse is ready to run! Neh Neh

Well Brazil continues to impress me more each day. Should have been here 5 years ago.

Spent a few days in Vitoria i would describe it as the Middlesbrough of brazil, industrial, with few tourists and a grey unversity campus. It also had loads of pies and pasties the brazilians are mad for them. My hotel proved to be a strange palce not unlike the boro it had a lot of comings and goings if you catch my drift. /when dropped there by the taxi driver he told me fica com deus (stay with god) and that he had not slept for 24 hours which he told me before i entered his cab. anyways if staying in that hotel is staying with god well religion isnt what it used to be, mouldy bread and a piece of ham for breakfast. i tried to move rooms due to my bedroom door not working properly however despite been the only person staying overnight in the hotel i was told senor horse its not possible, it seems that those who rent by the hour have priority in brazil!

so after my brief stay in ther supposed house of god i moved on for a few days in rio there i recieved further confirmation that brazilian women are the best looking most friendly people in the world. /honestly everyone says be careful they will drug your drink and rob you, its bullshit everyday i get help on the bus, shown where to go honestly its amazing. heres an example yesterday im on the bus to bele horizonte this girl starts talking to me, buys me sweets! (broke all rules and accpeted them from stranger), then walks around bele horizonte for 30 mins helping me find bus stop making herself late for work. ohh ill have to stop there the hotel receptionist has just told me senor horse we have a problem 45 people are arriving in the hostel and we have no room for you would you like to sleep in the reception? ah brazil who knows what next, or you can move across the city to another hostel, anti foreigner? oh shit they are coming in now a bunch of spotty teenagers this could be a mare. think ill go for the hostel reception. weird i was virtually kicked out my hostel in bele horizonte this morning because they had a group of 40 arriving and now here again. feel a discount coming on for the inconvenience. love the professionalism.

anyways back to it yeah brazilian women so helpful except when they are trying to kick you out your dorm room!

/anyways ive found out that next sunday there is a 10km race in rio de janerio, tried to enter it on the internet when to the section labelled foreigner you click on it put in your details but it wont let you register unless you have a brazilian id, keep the foreigner out again! anyways another helpful brazilian girl rang them up and now im entered for next sunday.

Have ran once in 5 months so not sure what will happen but i guess if the course goes through the middle of a favela that will get the legs going a bit. I can just see it now 2000 women running in dental floss bikinis while prostitues loiter handing out drinks at the drink station, dont drink it its a trap they will shout at the foreigners as they collapse to the ground and have their running chip stolen.

so ive got 9 days to get in some serious capriniha binge drinking as preperation for the race.

/ah the recptionsit is back, im in their tonight she says with a discount. /the spotty teenagers have already broken a couple of glasses. /well i guess brazil is never boring.


off for a drink now.
