Valparaiso

Today we went to Valparaiso since Tufts is taking the group next week when we will be in Peru. Valparaiso is a pretty famous city in Chile, and amongst Santiguinos. It was an hour and a half bus ride. Oh gosh, we're such Tufts students, arguing over logistics, but we finally got on the bus. So nick and i are talking about depressing topics. He thinks I should go back next semester, and I value his opinion. He knows about the whole IR and Econ mess. I don't know, can I handle taking 3 econ classes in one semester?? Oh gosh. Well it's just that the academics are pretty bad here, not learning much. Sighs I guess I am not doing some things right. I just don't know, I have to think about this more.
Then Naomi comes up from the back of the bus and says, hey guys we gotta get off. Apparently we were on the wrong bus =( But luckily there was a bus in front of us going to the right place.
When we got there it was beautiful!! It's a beautiful port city right by the water, ahh! We saw lots of cargo being moved and lots of big cargo ships. And the houses are built on a hill going up on top of each other, behind each other, like in Baja California. Does that description make sense? We took these ascensors, like elevator lifts on railroads lol that went up to the higher level. We walked upwards and down a lot haha. I imagine it's how San Francisco is, with the upward roads and sidewalks, hehe. It was a really beautiful day, warm, sunny, blue skies, got used to the smell of fish after awhile, hehe. We walked up and down and then finally had lunch. I wanted seafood, ordered some corvina, but mine was fried!! Oh gosh the whoel plate was a heart attack, with french fries and 2 eggs, ahh!
Then we walked around lots more, took another ascensor, and walked around town. Lots of colorful houses, spray painted walls, paved pathways, a random silver workshop, palm trees, micro buses(like the ones in Hk ive realized haha), yaaaa. We then ate at this cafe del poeta which was reallly cute. Most of us had crepes. My crepe was so good, with manjar, strawberry and chocolate ice cream in a crepe, coconut, oh so good. And a caramel latte machiatto. Looooved it. Miss crepes!!
Then we took the 7 pm bus. I got up at 7:45 this mroning haha. Been getting up early every day so maybe I will get use dto this later. Most of you know that I am a fan of sleeping a lot and sleeping in a lot, but here, it's not happening. The others are amazed at my 'sleeping abilities' meaning that I can sleep anywhere anytime and a LOT. hahahaa I guess so =P
