The chooks are in there somewhere!
Well, everything a little out of synch, again...the 1st photo is here in cracas then we're back on Isla Margarita...oh well.......so, to begin again...OK, I may have been a little harsh again, last time....I've now seen caracas in a new and better light...yes, fahn dining, bars, clubs, gorgeous women...altho' that's also curious..the thing is that ALL girls are raised to be beauty queens...and they believe it!..so they all have a disconcerting way of putting it all out there.....and altho' beauty is only skin deep and yadda yadda, some of them really shouldn't be putting quite soo much out there!...not that I should be commenting, I'm putting a bit out there too!...and there was the episode with the budgie smugglers!...anyway....and they treat the men so mean!...but then, once they're trapped into marriage and kids and gravity and Maccas and we've been thru all this before...they have a pretty doomed existence...however, for their moments in the sun...I can only see what I see.....more camel toes than Marrakesh market and cleavages to just leap right into.......as to the city itself. nothing like it anywhere I don't think...altho' everywhere we go seems to remind people of somewhere else?..hmmm, curious effect...is the whole world becoming everywhere

else....nothing too new or too unique, (yes, I know)....anyway, it seems impossible to get a city map of crackarse....only a set of different bits...probably because it spreads out over 25kms up a valley lined on either side by really steep mountains, heavily wooded, totally wild bush, like no advertising signs, no houses, absolutely virgin scrub...and going up to something over 2000 meters...(remember..Kosiusko is only 2,200 meters or so)...crackers itself is about 900 metres which gives it a fantastic climate...>I guess about low 30's and not too humid, at night you could wear a jacket, if you had one, so very comfortable.
So, the city spreads out down the valley with house built up the sides only so far, then nothing, its like the high water mark after the flood....from the streets, everywhere you look there are these huge mountains...I mean RIGHT THERE, just beyond the next few streets, rising up to the clouds, fantastic....the city has lots of spectacular buildings, a maze of freeways, flyovers, whatever you call them, and parks and plazas...its been built up over the past 50 years I guess with bulk petro bucks...some extraordinary architecture been allowed to happen, and areas of obvious wealth, residential 'burbs

all very interesting...then theres the clear and present danger stuff,...jesus wept, stories of hold-ups, in the traffic you don't wear a watch in case they ride up beside the car and just tap on the window with the gun and ask for it!...well, thats the word in the 'bad' suburbs,,,where we are staying its sort of OK,,,hehehe...just got an e from a friend down the coast passing on a warning for motorists about some works on the main road to the coast...advising of possible major traffic jams and therefore¨must take preventative security measures¨aaarrgghhh...jesus wept!!.....however, yesterday went to the museum of fine arts, wonderful building, almost worth the trip itself, and some interesting exhibitions and collections...bummer, the little shop near the door was closed when we came out!....so I couldn't get any cards and stuff.....and its in a artsy sort of precinct, fabulous buildings housing theatres, as in real live theatres, and other artsy stuff...only drama is, its also one of the really dangerous parts of town!!....But, we were able to take the underground, yes, amazing, a French Built system, lukily for the uninitiated only one major route and 2 off shoots so its pretty straightforward...just as well as they've forgotten
at the bottom of the road...at the bottom of the road...
at the bottom of the road...

the poor little fisherpeoples shacks...
to put up name signs at most of the stations!...its travel by numbers...crikey, I know its 6 stops, now, have we stopped at 3 or 4 already?..aarrgghh...but if you overshoot, just get out next stop and go back, its cheap, quick and covers a lot of territory.
And from our hotel, there's a look out the wide, and openable, windows over a cute little park, beautiful lawns and gardens, maintained to withing an inch of their lives, and flaming chooks roaming around!!..I kid you not, in the middle of the city, a grassy, planty, treey park with a mob of flaming chooks roaming around!..unbelievable!...and if you half close your eyes, they could be almost gum trees...and another few rums and they probably are gum trees!...orright, time to get some pics up...if it all works, the last one is the view from the window!...hasta luego...love to you all....but where's my fcuking bike?
