Chile? No Uruguay Actually...

Greetings faithful readers! I am full of cocktails paid for by Daddy and therefore thought it a fabulous idea to blog!

We are currently in Punta del Este in Uruguay, it is a fairly standard beach town, we´re here in Autumn so the town is practically dead, I keep expecting to see zombies there are so few people! However the hotel we are staying at is far from standard, it´s gorgeous. It has a spa center and one of those pools where the water goes right up to the edge. It´s right on the beach and is gorgeous. Shame the wind is blowing so hard it´s freezing. Not that I´m complaining really as it makes a lovely change to be able to wear a jumper and not melt into a little puddle. Today we just wandered on the beaches, here they have a cool sculpture of fingers that makes it look like a hand is coming up from the sand. Tomorrow I do believe will be almost entirely spent shopping with Daddy´s money, a perfect day I feel.

We spend 2 days in Montevideo and probably didn´t really make the most of them. I feel like I spent most of the time infront of the TV in the hotel. I watched The Prestige, High School Musical, Just My Luck, The Mummy and some romantic comedy I´ve never heard of before. Wow that is a lot of films. In my defence I also went to the massive sunday street market, the cathederal, the Gaucho museum and the Torres Garcia art gallery... Montevideo is a very nice city, very green, very clean.

I already talked about Colonia didn´t I? It´s really lovely has a very interesting history as the Spanish and Portuguese used to fight over it so there´s a real mixture of architectural styles there.

Well I seem to have less to write about Uruguay, but it really is a lovely place and I´m still having a fantastic time with mummy and daddy. Oooh I have another fantastic gem of a Mum quote,

"It might be there. Unless it´s not."

I feel it apropriate to say, thanks for that stunning report Cpatain Obvious! hehe

Mum and I also came up with a fantastic joke, which goes;
"Cor it´s a bit chilly isn´t it..."
"No, It´s Uruguay actually..."
Geddit? Chilly = Chile
We´re comedic geniuses... Geniei? I have no idea.

By the way I´m very excited to se that half of South America is now red in my little places I´ve blogged map. I am conquering South America, MWAHAHAHA!
