Tourist buses from Cusco to Puno break the trip up (which is great as we are not big fans of long haul buses). First stop, a church at Andahuaylillas (Nic, Tash and I didn't go in - not big fans of churches at the best of times and have certainly had our fill so we bought snickers and sat in the square instead). Next stop Pikillacta ruins with loads of massive round silos and what is left of a beautiful adobe temple. Nice lunch in some restaurant along the way then to visit a "traditional house" which consisted of a llama in the courtyard you could feed with a bottle, stalls guinea pigs in a kitchen and stalls selling assorted handicrafts made by the family (can't believe people were so into this - the bus driver had to yell vamos repeatedly, start the bus and honk the horn to get them out of there). Last stop a small museum related to the closeby Pukara ruins. Finally arrived in Puno where we made our way to our hostal.
