Am I Drunk or is the ground under my feet moving?

Having arrived in Puno yesterday, i've had an eventful 24hrs. I went out for a few drinks last night, with some people I had met. That was fine ,but when I stumbled back to my hotel I found that the place had been locked up, and there was not a sole in sight.
It was only the appearance of couple of inebriated locals that saved the day, by starting to throw things at the windows - this seemed to do the trick, and I finally got to my room and bed.

No more than 3-4 hours sleep later and I had to get up( with a very sore head, after one or two too many Pisco Sours!) to go on a boat trip to the floating Islands - Just what I needed!!!

The trip was quite strange, knowing that you are standing on these islands, that are actually made out of reeds, and move up and down when you walk on them ( Great when you've got a hangover!!). They have to add another layer of reeds approximately every 2 weeks to stop themselves sinking.
There are loads of these man made islands dotted around, and they seem to have between 5-15 families on each. The shame is really that the whole thing is now just being exploited, and as a tourist it all seems a bit of sham, and an attempt to rip you off at every corner. Saying all that it was enjoyable as the locals did put on a polished performance for you

Off to Arequipa tomorrow.It´ll be nice to get down to a reasonable altitude for a bit.
