There wasn't really anything of note that happened during the regular school day on Friday. However, in my language center class with the Basic 2 students, there is one kid that really really struggles. He seems to understand things while they're being explained, but when it is time for him to apply what he has learned, he really has problems. I gave the students 15 minutes at the end of class to start on their homework for the weekend. (It was one page front and back, but it takes them so long because they need so much support. None of them even got through the first activity on the first page where they had to unscramble sentences.) I eventually just ended up sitting with this particular student because he raised his hand for every sentence. It was good, though, because we started off talking about that every sentence begins with a capital letter. Then we talked about how the first few words in these sentences was the subject and then immediately following came the verb and then the rest of the sentence. He seemed to understand this after I gave him some clues that sujeto is subject and verbo is verb. It was good to see him be able to piece together a sentence by himself. He and two other students even stayed after class for a bit to get extra help! I love when they do that! :D

After this, we went to Sr. Daniel's house to get his son, Daniel, to bring him to Miraflores, which is where his mom lives. We managed to fit all four girls in the back seat with the Daniels in the front. It made for an interesting car ride. On the way there, Meredith had the idea of playing a game in the car. We decided it would be kind of like "I Spy." Here's the point breakdown (roughly):

1 point: dog
2 points: police car, people running
3 points: a couple making out
5 points: cop car pulled over
10 points: dog on a leash, cat, person using the "public" restroom, dog wearning clothes
15 points: dog on a leash and wearing clothes

It was extremely entertaining. We even got Danielito to play with us! :D Then we went out for dinner at a delicious sandwich shop in Miraflores. We arrived and had to wait for a table, so we shared some ice cream. We had a great chocolate cookie type and then lucuma, which is a fruit from here. They were both really good! Then we finally sat down for dinner. I had a wonderful sandwich with jamon serrano con aceite de oliva. It was like Spain all over again! Then came the second dessert. It was this wonderful postre called milojas de fresas. Mmmm.

Welp, here's to dog's on leashes!
