Hi kids, time for a final entry from Lima.
Its been about a week since we wrote. Havent really done much in that time. We went to Pucllana, a Inca ruin in the city, and there are some photos of this yet to come. Here we met some Peruvian bred dogs. They are ugly. Apparently they have won the ugliest dog in the world awards. They deserve it.
We also had a trip to the doctors. Actually the hospital. Hospitals here have walk-in clinic type things. So very grateful that we had Ivan with us, otherwise the language barrier may not have been broken. In the end we got some lovely tablets (and some not so lovely Pepto Bismol, which tastes like deep heat) and are pretty much recovered.
I have invented a new game, whereby I avoid meeting people, so I dont have to kiss them. Whats with all this kissing anyway. (Not that im not up for a nice kiss, dont get me wrong). We meet people. We kiss them. Ivan might talk to them for a minute or so. Then they go to leave and we kiss them again. Too much kissing in Peru. This game became rather fun when Stephan came home and had a party... so many people, so many avoided kisses. The party was interesting - we got to go in a ´fast car´. Fast was an understatement. I called it ´Pimp my Peru´. The car was crazy, undescribable. So was its owner-drivers striped adidas tracksuit. Pure class.
For the past few days we´ve been at the beach. We also watched a DVD of the newest Harry Potter, bought somewhere dodgy for some dodgy price. Also, such funny sunburn. Not anywhere near my Melbourne Cup day effort, but funnier.
I´ll leave it at that - see if bo wants to add anything. She thinks Im a blog hog. Shes a bog hog. Actually shes not a hog. She shares her diarrhea freely. tehe.
Love you all, ill write from Chile or Brazil.

(P.S my new favourite tv show is Laguana Beach- the real OC, if I hear one more HBO ad with ´We can be heros´ playing, I might throw the tv at someone and lastly, and most importantly, Lucuna tastes like arse.)
holla amigos,
Tonight is our last night in Lima. Am feeling just a little emotional, incredibly vulnerable and am pretty sure that i shouldn´t be left alone tonight...hello....guys....anyone....bueller.....anyone. Ah lima.... the memories. An ugly dog, a sunburnt arse and haunted house. Does it get any better that? Following our visit to the doctor and a trip to see some pre inca ruins, we enjoyed some swiss family peru goodness after our other housemate stephan got back on Saturday. This involved us eating deep fried cheese, watching a bull fight on tv and kissing half of lima´s population. Was very disappointed with the bull fight. Didn´t realise that they poked it with sticks and stuck a sword in its back. Bit strong for my taste, although those cute matador jackets and apricot socks are hot, hot hot. Ooooh.....and we have to talk about the kissing thing. Seriously. ´This is my dance space and that´s your dance space´....haven´t these people seen dirty dancing? What is the point in kissing someone you don´t know, are not going to talk to and are never going to see again, not once but twice? Its just not cricket. I mean, think all those germs, I don´t know where those lips have been. At first it was a bit of a novelty but I´m just over it now. Okay.......back to lima.....ummmm......Sunday we paid a few soles to go to a haunted house with a bunch of 15yr olds.....it was wicked.......they put flashlights under their chin and chased us around in the dark. It was a big theatre production, lots of fake blood, cool costumes and scary music. Loved it. Okay, okay, wish i could talk more, especially about our run in with Lima´s post office and major bank and getting robbed, but have to go have a swiss family peru dinner......over and out, Bo
