Bit of background, Chris is a friend of a friend, from the US, working as a chiropractor here in Lima.

Last night we went to the best sushi place I have ever been to. We were just wandering around, looked at a couple menus, went into this place because they had an awesome-sounding risotto. We didn't even know they had sushi. Chris got a seafood risotto and a 6-piece sushi roll. I got tuna sashimi, a 6-piece sushi roll of avocado, cream cheese, and salmon with this sesame seed breading on the outside, and we shared a 6-piece sushi roll of lettuce, avocado, and shrimp, with tuna on the outside. There was a teriyaki sauce and a sweet brown sauce for dipping. Chris ordered a drink that was two for one, delicious, very fruity, not too thick, couldn't taste the alcohol too strongly. Total: S./80. Less than $20/person for all that!! And it was all soooo good. I woke up this morning thinking about the sushi.

Chris wanted ice cream, so we went to an ice cream place near his apartment, but he just got a scoop (last time he got a whole sundae). I had NO room, not even for ice cream. We walked around, then watched the 3rd x-men at his place.

In terms of my project, we're still in the analysis and writing stage. We've shared what we have so far with one of our mentors and she says it looks great and that it'll definitely be publishable, so yay!

I fly out tomorrow morning, and I'll be back in Seattle on the morning of the 4th. As much as I've enjoyed Peru, I'm going to be glad to come home.

I'm reviving this blog from my last big adventure for this summer. I'll be down in Lima, Peru doing research on integrating pharmacies into their health care surveillance system. Since I have to keep a daily log of my activities anyways, I figured I would do it where people can see what I'm up to, at work and outside of work. ... full info
