Got a Peruvian cell phone today, very exciting. I still have to register it, but now I can call people.

Went to the Lover's Park with Beth, we sat there and read for a bit. It was funny because there's this giant statue of a mn and a woman lying down, embracing, and there are these couples all around making out and we are all SURROUNDED by the Peruvian equivalent of pigeons.

Dinner with the entire La Rosa family. Dinner was a delicious salad of potatoes, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, beets, avocado, and roasted chicken. There was asparagus soup afterwards, which I could eat every day, but I was so full, I just couldn't eat any.

After dinner I went dancing at a club on la Calle de Pizzas with Beth and one of her groupmates, an adorable guy named Daniel. While I am not the most skilled dancer, I made up for it with my enthusiasm. Beth and I agreed we need to go dancing at least once a week while we're here. The second song that came on was Ven Bailando, which I LOVE, which I first learned when I was in Peru 5 years ago. Daniel was super impressed that I knew all the words. The music was a nice mix of US pop and cumbia/salsa/bachata. I have never felt so sweaty in my life as when we left the club, we were there from 11pm until 3am and stopped dancing for maybe 30 minutes tops.
