Well get ready this could be a slightly longer entry!!! So much seems to have happen in just a week its great. So just a quick one about the group......there are 12 of us form pretty different backgorunds......2 boys from Surrey, a girly from Bristol and one from Hampshire, a Kiwi couple, an Aussie girl and boy and 2 slightly older people from Canada a lady and bloke!!! All seems to be OK a few frictions from those that have travelled down from Quito to meet us but hey i am sure it will all be cool......right back to the hols!!!
So we had another free day Lima so head out to town to goto the San Fransico so 6 of jumped into a 4 seater taxi - hmm you can see that happening at home!!! Well we had a real good guide that took us around the church and then down to the catacombs which was cool in an eerie way as you are also walking on tombs all the way round!!! There are some coffins there that you can see which are for all the rich people that donated to the church!!! After lunch we head to the
Mueso del Tribunal de la Santa Inquisition which although the guide was in Spainish it was all pretty self explanatory with the wax works - trust me it was not all that nice!!!
The evening was fun we went to Parque de la Reserva where there is a big Xmas display sponsored by....who else... coke!!! Also there are lots of fountains with lights and music that is open for the whole summer - its pretty cool actually and you can get in the fountains to have pics taken and stay dry - unless you are me who fell over!!! Yup always me hee hee!!! So we have dinner and head back Dave and i persuade all to have a bevvie - well they stay for one we stay for a few!!! Hee hee its hol time!!!
So today (18/12) will be pretty boring but it feels like the trip has started as a full group we head off on the bus from Lima to Pisco - not too bad and only 4hrs - that is apparently short!!! So then another quick bus journey to Paracas and the hostel - where Dave and I have been upgraded as there
are only a set amount of rooms hmmm just a shame its only for a night!!! So the first time tonight we all go out as a full group for dinner which will be cool and we all get chatting a bit more!! So dinner was a bit interesting as i ordered what i thougt was a good meal...........turns out it was raw fish........luckily I can wswap with Dave hee hee!!! So we all head back to the hostel for a few beers but an early night as along day ahead.......
This is a cracking day we head out pretty early on a boat trip to the Ballestas Islands which are fab soo many Peruvian Boobies (they are birds), Sea Lions, Pelicans, Peguins and on the way saw bottle nose dolphins which was cool did i get it in camera - er nope!!! Was real nice though and good to get out there!!! We then head to the El Catador winery where we are taken round and see that in March there is a wine festival where they still stamp the grapes with thier feet - cool!!! We then get to try a few different Pisco´s and well obviously
I buy one to bring home!!! After that we head towards Nasca and stop for lunch and to go sand boarding and drive around in sand buggies (thanks Dave b´day pressie part 1) - was soo cool and i managed to not to injury myself once!!! Good Skills!!! hee hee
So another 2hr bus ride to take us to Nasca where we all head out for food and Karaoke - they saw me coming as it all finished and turned into a disco just after we arrived!!! ;-) Was a pretty good night thos a few beers sunk by all!!!
So now I have b´day pressie part 2 off to see the Nasca lines!!! Soo excited - when we get there we choose the have the normal plane or a crazy one - there is only 1 seat left on the crazy one ' sorry Dave I have to go for it!!! OK so here we go - i think my tummy is still on the ground but hey it looks cool as!!! Unfortunatley I was a wee bit sick before the crazy bit but was soo cool and soo glad i did it!!! hee hee!!! Dave went
to see the mummy´s as i chilled with some of the otherswhic was nice. We head into touwn in the eve for food before jumping on a 9hr night bus to Arequipa.........
